There is a connection between the two events.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>Conditional sentences talk about conditions (usually introduced by if) and a possible result or consequence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>zero <\/strong>conditional is used to talk about a general truth or fact.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you heat ice, it melts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>first <\/strong>conditional is used to talk about something we feel is a probable future result.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If I am free tomorrow, I will call you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>second <\/strong>conditional is used to talk about imaginary, impossible or unlikely situations in the present or future.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If I were you, I would take that job.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>third <\/strong>conditional &nbsp;talks about the past. We use it to describe a situation that didn\u2019t happen and imagine the result of this situation.
